Stirling Stone Ltd are one of the four companies which constitute the Wallace Group. Together, they provide the most inclusive stone masonry service available in the UK.

Established in 1988, Stirling Stone Ltd have had the privilege of utilising their expertise on many of the country's most prestigious projects on which the highest quality of service and workmanship in natural stone was required and provided accordingly.

 

Specialists in traditional hand-set masonry, we provide a comprehensive service in all types of stonemasonry, from external and internal new-build projects involving both wall cladding and flooring to complex restoration and conservation works.

The early involvement of Stirling Stone Ltd in a project, utilising our in-depth knowledge of sourcing stone, testing, quarrying, production, design and building of stonework, will help minimise the risk of delays to programme and post contract variations no matter the scale of the proposed works.

Stone Design Ltd 

Stone Design Ltd. offer a consultancy service aimed at Clients and Design Teams with a view to encouraging advanced preparation and finalisation  of design information in respect of any natural stone elements in a project to allow completion of working drawings and early procurement of stone to eliminate the problems that can be caused by late specification and interface detailing.

This includes:

  • Specification Input

  • Assistance with design development

  • Resolution of interface details

  • Development of working drawings and schedules

  • Stone selection criteria and budget costings throughout the design development

  • Stone procurement schedules

  • Stone support and fixing design

 

Stone Design Ltd provide a pre- and post- tender consultancy service for all types of stone projects.​

Toffolo Stirling Ltd 

Toffolo Stirling Ltd. cater for both domestic and commercial markets, from one-off projects such as kitchen worktops, reception desks and vanity units, to all types of commercial projects such as shop fitting, bars and serveries, cladding and flooring and provide a complete design, bespoke manufacture and fixing service for marble, granite, slate and limestone projects throughout the UK.

Toffolo Stirling Ltd are structured to be flexible and can accommodate works ranging from a one-off custom-designed item to cladding of a major civic building. The company has its own manufacturing facility equipped with modern saws and CNC machinery, supported by a skilled team of marble masons and installers.

CMC Ltd

Construction Materials Consultants Ltd. (CMC) is an independent construction material based consultancy, with its own laboratory facilities providing consultancy, investigation, analysis and testing services to the construction industry, with a particular emphasis on Conservation.

The consultancy concentrates on traditional materials and traditional construction practices, including the condition assessment and identification of materials used in the construction of traditional and historic buildings, ruins, etc. including the identification and analysis of, mortars, renders, plasters, stone, brick masonry and other novel traditional materials.

​

The laboratory analysis, includes, but is not limited to the evaluation and analysis of traditional lime and clay based binders, natural and early Portland cements, with advice on their selection, replication and application in restoration and conservation works.

​

In addition, stone identification, with source matching, is undertaken along with examination and analysis of historic brick, and other traditional materials for record purposes and to assist in their replication.
